And it is not already Paramount had announced two weeks before the premiere of Star Trek (2009), but because following its world premiere this weekend will guarantee data. Variety holders on its website (l to Hollywood bible information regarding the movie studios and their "establishment" means) and forward a very good box office results compared with the rest of the adventure film in the series .
The fact is that this weekend has obtained an income of just over $ 76 million and 35 million worldwide (except for Mexico which has been delayed by the issue of influenza A, given the prohibition to attend mass events made by the Mexican government, with the intention of preventing the spread of the virus). I remember at this point that the three latest releases in our continent, could not stand each release over two weekends, as it was doomed to only fans of the franchise would remain in the cinemas.
Then I leave some of the headlines that Variety has made for this purpose:
Star Trek beams up $ 76.5 million
Paramount's franchise reboot tops box office
So much for the North American box office (including the wink trekkie in the headline of the beam up. I remind you that Beam Me Up Scotty-Scotty-Teletranspórtame is one of the most famous phrases of the original series, the voice of James T. Kirk) .
'Star' treks to top of U.S. foreign box office
Paramount pic nabs $ 35.5 million overseas
And this one title refers to the collection abroad. I suppose that Paramount must be satisfied, because with a good script for the 12th delivery and a good viral marketing campaign (on the Internet) as has been done with this film have grown enough so that there appeared a new generation trekkie that needs to feed next to the old cinematically to which I belong.

I will continue to report ...
(They go well for the Trekkie universe
)
Tremendous, spectacular, breathtaking, surprising, hilarious, tense, respectful yet irreverent at the same time.
Thank you JJ Abrams . Thanks for reviving the spirit of Star Trek with a new language and new codes visual Trekkies. But no doubt thanks to reinvent the universe trekkie, without failing in its commitment to the tradition and original philosophy that swept the world in 60 of the hand of Gene Roddenberry .
Maybe that was part of the equation that the leap to the big screen audiovisual largest franchise that has existed, had never managed to clear. So hard, but so obvious. Under the command of it was to place a non-fan of the original series (or the other), even if I pemitís seemed that Mr. Abrams was somewhat antitrekkie as their first meetings, when it was announced that would be responsible for revitalizing the universe trekkie.
Thank you for opening the eyes, providing the universe of Star Trek a new lighthouse, new objectives and above all a new typology of the characters. Perhaps is there another part of the success of this new assembly: the casting. Let's start with the bad, the role of Chekov , payasete more than expected, but somewhat diluted in the hilarious (with the underlying tension) scene of the location of the conveyor in Vulcano .
With respect to the other, the word is awesome. Bones McCoy 's it, that of always the TOS (the original series), it looks a revival, to say nothing of Scotty and his patent apathy hierarchies and their total loyalty to people, Uhura is what one expects on the basis of what can be seen along the original series with the point of strong female character and an exuberant personality, far from the stereotypes of female roles in American science fiction 50 and 60. Sulu is another character that best conforms to its original, in fact in the film there are plenty of nods to the original series in that regard.
But the best is the tandem. The character of Kirk (Chris Pine) is the expected one, a young brawler, womanizer and tortured soul that prepares you to define the character that we all hope, unpredictable and atavistic, the scenes that lead to their employment and their ego (s Kirk !) and blued overacting in the development of action simulator Kobayashi Maru (Trekkie legend if ever there) define the character perfectly.
So far, all the parameters you'd expect, but ...
Spock , the centerpiece of this new universe trekkie. Indeed. Beginning with the actor Zachary Quinto (who have come to loathe for its extraordinary and disturbing performance in Heroes, in the skin of the sociopath and ahumano Sylar), which leads to the quintessential interpretation of our favorite Vulcan. First of all, the presence and role in the plot of the movie Leonard Nimoy (the original Spock) shows the extent to which all Trekkies universes converge in this new vision.
By the way this new vision, connects several aspects of the original series with previously unseen events of the USS Kelvin and the role that Captain Pike is in the life of Kirk. The reference to Admiral Archer (to ingratiate himself with the latest franchise Star Trek Enterprise , captained by actor Scott Bakula) and also to top it off with the crew of TNG , which without naming anyone, the future of Spock tells Kirk on certain actions that occur in Star Trek IV and Star Trek Generations (the first in which the New Generation of Jean Luc Picard goes into action.) No doubt an attempt to combine all possible universes Trekkies (leaving aside DS9 and Voyager) to enforce the new premises of argument that arise due to the emergence of certain elements in the argument Romulans, and the disappearance of two specific planets trekkie in the new world ahead.
But back to Spock. The new Spock is bigger, more mysterious, more unpredictable (it's ilogical! Say to this
.) Yes friends, the new Spock has to live with his Vulcan and human ambivalence, which had deleted the original series. Something that will make rivers of pixels on the internet, but that the greatness of this new Star Trek is that plot lines drawn by the writers Orcci and Kurtzman (Abrams usual collaborators and sponsors of this wonder called Fringe), without cutting nothing cronotrekkie create a singularity that allows to explore new routes Trekkies, especially with their roles. They are those who are, know who they are, but everything will be different. His universe has changed, they have singularities in the cosmos. Truth is that I have wanted to see that he feel about my favorite astrophysicist Kip S. Thorne (I hope to write something that has once again his wisdom and humor at the same time in a matter as delicate as spatial manipulation). On the other hand it would be great to know that he goes through the head to one of the writers more "spatial" of the saga as it is Brannon Braga .
By the way on the issue of roles and roles of the new crew, there is one in particular that will have to talk and not desvelaré in this post.
Ah! the other guest to complete the circle of good plot, good script and good casting. The FX. For the first time we see special effects worthy of the saga trekkie. And they're Lucas' ILM.
For now I will not get to gut the movie, I want you time to see her. I saw it in IMAX and it is a spiritual experience, mystical. Will be for the 12,000 watts of sound.
In the end what this will create more controversy. Star Trek XI leaves the pitch height of the "other series" andthe strength of the back (Look! Am superfan). Sorry, Abrams has hit a look at Spielberg and Lucas in a single stroke and over telling a story ...
THE LEGEND BEGINS (again ...)

It's three days, three!, And I are doing forever. The Trekkies been long looking forward to this time. And that much is at stake, as cinematically rejuvenate the franchise is a very engaging challenge to perform.
And it is that doubts about it were significant. After the first 6 appointments crew TOS (The Original Series, for the uninitiated), ending with the interesting "The Undiscovered Country" in spite of a geriatric, but endearing crew then came the turn of TNG (The New Generation ) with Picard, finally, in full screen. But the film debut of the new series with David Carson in front of that pastiche called Star Trek Generations, we left everyone dissatisfied.
Then came the hopeful "First Contact", but the rest is best forgotten. And when we had lost hope of seeing a spectacular Star Trek, wondering if one day lead to the movies DS9, Voyager or better initiatory sufferings of Captain Archer and crew aboard the NX-01, is one that JJ Abrahams ( that above is not trekkie) and revolutionized the world of Star Trek.
Maybe there is the question. Perhaps it was necessary that someone did not agree or consecrated the Trekkie universe, rebuild the franchise. At first I had my doubts. That that a layman (and I proud of it) was done with the reins of the eleventh film project saw him more as a heresy, that as a dare.
The truth is that given that most have at the time of his hiring was the nonsense that the Dharma called Lost (Lost), yes here I will have won convincingly that any enemy that one, I got on my nerves. But taking intoaccount has been able to create with his team as Fringe something so exciting, I must admit that things began to paint very well.
So here we are. Three days after the premiere (discussing how I am going to arrange to see the film on its release, if I'll do in Granada or Malaga, if I go to IMAX to see it, if the release in that format around me .... ) we will analyze a bit that we can find.
The truth is that apparently seen in the trailers, leaves no doubt that the word to define it will be spectacular. Let's start by saying that the main character this time are the special effects have gone all out the window of ILM are (finally in a movie of Star Trek!) And of course the casting. A casting made rivers of pixels on websites and blogs about whether it was appropriate or not. The truth is that what I was unnerved was chosen for the role of Spock Zachary Quinto, Sylar of Heroes on! Well, we must recognize that choosing to make Quinto Sylar nemesis has been a success, and above we can see with Leonard Nimoy (slurp!).
I must say, still being trekkie, I was wrong Roll the franchise reboot that resuming the TOS crew, from the time they are known in the Starfleet Academy. One is very progressive, but religion does not play (just kidding). But seeing what I've seen so far and the viral macrocampaña producer, I must say that being an exciting experience. And best, have already signed for a Star Trek XII!
What we see on Friday said and discussed in the blogosphere that night.
LIFE LONG AND PROSPER ...

At last the time comes since Paramount announced two years ago the big news for the Trekkie universe. JJ Abrams was responsible for resurrecting the big screen in the original crew of Trek universe. Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Sulu and Uhura, have a fresh opportunity to rejuvenate the franchise.
And is that the passage of Picard's crew on the big screen just left us a decent film, it was First Contact and some moments of the last: Nemesis.
The bet has been off as Paramount has announced that there will be two new sequels, and this before its release, but the wait has created high expectations and expect a substantial income at the box office and not just the U.S.. The first sequel is expected for 2011.
On April 17, at Hotel Santo Mauro in Madrid will be a presentation by the film's own director and cast protagonist. It should be noted here also striking resemblance to actor Zachary Quinto Leonard Nemoy taking the witness of the young Spock (Quinto remember that had a television debut in the antipodes of the character of Spock, it was Sylar in Heroes, no doubt both characters are a mutual nemesis.)
The premiere date is May 8, 2009, and there are numerous trailers, news (and even spoilers) that exist in the network. The main trailer can be found by clicking this link Star Trek XI (in Spanish)
