Science in Spain NOT need scissors ...

Honestly, every time I understand less how to do politics in our country. While in Moncloa still do not realize the virulence of our "crisis of its own" whipped into a general framework of global economic distress, where everything will change so that nothing changes. (Maybe someone knows of any litigation in the OECD against one of the architects of the global crisis - not worth Madoff, head of Turkey's shift -); in opposition, not only have an anti-crisis model but is now engaged in a long fratricidal war with a band dressed postponed corruption insufferable.

Against cuts to R & D & I Spanish

I think once more not only deceive us, I mean the international financial authorities, but also that nobody will use this crisis to change the model. And when I say model, I refer to capitalism (is fully maintained in the genome of this society), I refer to the structures that sustain it, rather, the issue would create structures, not to sustain it, but control it. With that at this stage of the "movie" I am satisfied.

But since this struggle seems to me far away, and do not think the IMF or OECD, or the powerful lobbies and think tanks that support the system will recognize your utter failure in the monitoring and observation of it. I will not add anything more about it, I have ideas, but I doubt that will be heard or heeded. There will be satisfied with Obama, the EU (well Merkel and Sarkozy to be more specific, they alone have a voice in the current nonsense that has become my long-awaited European Union. What exists at present do not recognize) and some emerging leader like Lula, occasionally giving a holder (rather than a proposal or course of action).

But what really worries me is my beloved Spain. Do any of the heroes of our country are concerned about Spain? Is it logical that the Government continue disagreeing with the official figures of international government agencies? and do not take a clear direction and clear about it (And please do not come with the gibberish that is a problem of not knowing how to sell the merits of the action taken. People are not fools). I will give a free solution: Of course I support stimulus plans Plan-E, but having lost the race short term, is not worth making a bet long-term policy? Envision that our President may also the votes of the next electoral process is at stake the historical development of our country:

The solution is a firm commitment for education and of course by the R & D & I.

These must be the two hallmarks of Spain's future. And it's easy to understand. Our production model: brick + Sun and Beach is dead. The first for obvious reasons and the second will remain important but not decisive, it is clear that not be the locomotive of the past. In tourism we have to gamble on quality rather than quantity, especially when we bear in mind that increasingly compete for markets with lower prices and a remarkable quality (relative to the price offered) with respect to ours.

And this is the harsh reality. The stark and stubborn reality. All I hope is a bit of Politics (with capital letters) and vision (which has long been lost in national politics - we need statesmen, not "partisan").

Snip I do not understand the R & D & I Spanish, however you want to justify ridiculous ways (if they are not hiring new investigators and projects remain at anchor, that's a cut and nothing else), ah, and it scares me to contemplate defense budgets (those of which everyone is happy when a cut, but that can mean just a cut in R & D for real, just as it is, I come up here, but I promise to investigate this).

Therefore at this stage of the game, which saw markets continue to play by their rules and "playing" with governments, the only opportunity for countries like ours is to change the strategy of productive and become a specialist of R & D applied to industries of biotechnology, value-added services and tourism. That's our game, and that's what I expect of my elected representatives. But unfortunately in Moncloa not realize (and this pains me a lot) and the opposition only has to read the litany of atrocities they create in their environment and the distress they cause in an attempt to destabilize the government and the feeling that the "end times is near."

Will we ever get a parliament proactive to the real needs of citizens, or continue giving priority to political parties? I fear that the reduction of R & D is a victim of this type of short-term vision of politics.
